| This is a selection of fairly recent sites I've done. In most cases, I did the whole site (graphics, HTML, javascript, Flash, CGI etc). I'm not a programmer, but I can handle basic interactivity in many instances. Not included (for obvious reasons) are password-protected sites and corporate intranet sites. Also, work in the very early stages of its development is not generally presented here. This page is intended for clients who wish to see work that I've done. To contact me, click here. | |

ayton.net My website. It's basically a gallery of my artistic work -- paintings and drawings. A work in progress. I intend to update & rotate the works on a frequent basis. |

Bronx-Westchester Area Health Education Center Bronx-Westchester AHEC is is a not-for-profit organization that works in Health Professional Shortage Areas, Medically Underserved Areas and other medically underserved neighborhoods in the Bronx & Westchester. The web site gives easy access to information about programs and resources that BW AHEC provides. |

Context -- Melissa Cohen Interior Architecture & Design This is a small web site for a local interior design consultant and her company. The design is very clean and simple, to hopefully give a zen-like minimalism and flow to the site. |

Peter McCarty Peter McCarty is a children's book illustrator and author. His children's books are known for their elegant simplicity of language and image, and the site hopefully reflects this. This site basically serves as an online portfolio for his books and other illustration work. Future features to be added include the ability to buy books on amazon.com directly from the site. |

NAEM The website for the premier association for EHS Management, a non-profit, non-partisan educational association dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) management. This site integrates two sets of pages -- standard HTML ones coded and designed by myself, & database-generated ones from memberclicks.com, which are specifically designed for organizational websites. The two sections are tied together using a hybrid frames/non-frames design, which allows for specific bookmarking of individual pages, plus the seamless use of the database section. Navigation is managed via the drop-down javascript menu. |

John Hall for Congress A simple website for John Hall, musician ("Still The One", "Dance WIth Me") in his bid for US Congress in 2006 for New York district 19. The website will hopefully include music clips and other interactive components. Special thanks to Namaro for supplying the design concept. |

Barrett Art Center This is a small, simple & flexible site for a non-profit arts organization in Poughkeepsie, NY. The ultimate aim is to set them up to be able to edit it themselves & update the content on a frequent basis. |

Bluegrass
Journey: A Documentary This is a site for a recently completed documentary on bluegrass music. The site features stills from the film prominently, as well as information on the songs, artists etc. The site will also eventually include film clips & a message board where bluegrass fans can log in & discuss the movie & other items of interest. I designed this site so that Ruth & Rob (the directors & producers of the movie) could add their own updates (via Macromedia Contribute) -- adding or changing text, images, even adding new pages and sections. It's a quite simple, easily maintainable site. |

Cadge
Productions, Inc. Jeff Cadge and Cadge Productions, a photography, film & video house, already had a very presentable site. In this case, I did a makeover for them, making interface and graphical improvements where possible, enhancing the brand image with multiple uses of the logo, improving text layout and site navigation and flow. I also arranged the photo galleries into thematic sections with a "hidden" (but very visible) navigation using the circles under the photo display on the home page. I did this while trying to maintain the look and feel of the original site, adding visual enhancements such as enlarging the home page photo presentation and adding animated GIFs of sequences of Jeff's photos to subsidiary pages. |

Liz Peyton / Peyton's Places This is a small art site I did for Connecticut artist Liz Peyton, to showcase her ink line drawings featuring houses and historical buildings. It's basically a small portfolio of her work. |

Crest
Advisors LLC A new sister site for Crest Communications Holdings, LLC (see below). This site was designed with broadband users specifically in mind; it will bring your 56k modem to its knees. Normally, I'd make the graphics a lot smaller & use HTML text, but the client wanted to get away from the "standard web site" look, and since the site was basically aimed at users who would most likely have fast connections (the nature of their business, in fact), the decision was taken to not optimize particularly for speed. |

Arcos
Communications New York A simple site for a Manhattan PR / marketing / communications firm specializing in the Hispanic market. As usual, I've tried to reflect the spirit of the firm & take as many cues as possible from their existing materials: color, typeface, designs etc, whilst still injecting some new ingredients & making the web experience an enjoyable & intuitive one. |
![]() |
Cross
Cultures Communications (Note: temporarily unavailable) A straightforward site for a Manhattan-based PR firm, specializing in the Asian, Black & Hispanic emerging majority markets. I was aiming for (as usual) clear, clean design and intuitive navigation, rather than any flashy effects. |

PackMan
Tracking Software PackMan Tracking Software is a database/inventory/logistics package aimed at the A/V market. This site was developed very closely with the company — I acted pretty much as design consultant as the owner of the company had very specific ideas he wanted to implement. Again, the site is very clean, with a lot of white space and should be very easy to navigate. |
![]() |
DATIA The web site for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association. I took their basic site & added new graphics and better navigation. The home page features animations and rollovers to add interest. |
![]() |
FEN (Free
Expression Network) This was basically a simple makeover job. I created a new logo for them, replaced their existing graphics with some new, clearer ones & cut down some of their longer pages into smaller ones. The structure of the original pages and site was basically sound, so I didn't change those much. |

Crest
Communications Holdings, LLC Crest is an investment company focusing on communications and the Internet. The idea was to redesign their existing site to reflect their area of expertise, and make it quite flashy (I even did a Flash intro, which is no longer used). The site uses javascript rollovers extensively on the navigation bar, and there are various other javascript bits and animated GIFs to add interest to the site. |

Welcometofamily.com This website was done to tie in with the publication of a book detailing the Jewish experience in user-friendly terms for non-Jews. The design was largely derived from the book jacket itself -- I basically cut up the jacket graphic & rearranged the items, built in navigation, and added additional materials. Confession: this is my mother-in-law's website. See also www.loisshenker.com, her new website for her Life Coaching practice. |

Off-TheBeatenPath.com A small and straightforward website for a business selling antique-hunting tours to the UK. |
| archive | Below are sites no longer viewable on the web, either because they've subsequently been redesigned by someone else, or they simply no longer exist. I've taken the links off of these sites, as most of them are no longer there. |

Urban
Health Plan A site for a network of urban health centers in the Bronx, New York. The site will eventually expand into a bilingual English/Spanish site, but for now is only available in English. |

David
Eng Communications This is a site for a Manhattan PR firm. David wanted a very clean, simple, elegant look, almost done in monochrome. I did convince him to use a little color: he had some rather nice photos of himself taken which really gave the site some personality. I think the site makes a good showcase for his work. Technically, quite simple: javascript rollovers on the nav buttons and a tiny animated GIF. Recently, we added a Flash intro & an animated GIF on the "about" page. |

NCAC The site for the National Coalition Against Censorship. This was a makeover of an existing site which had originally, I guess, started out as a simple site, but had grown inconsistent & disorganized (the site is 200+ pages). I redesigned and rearchitected the site in Dreamweaver. We also added a search engine function and are in the process of setting up an online store. |

Livingston-Short
Hills Dental Associates This is a fairly straightforward site I did recently for a dental practice in New Jersey. |

Nelson
Communications I did this site under the auspices of InterActions Media, a Manhattan-based web and multimedia firm specializing in the healthcare sector. It was fairly graphically heavy, but since Nelson is probably the world's largest agency of its kind in the world, I guess they could get away with it. I did quite a few other sites for InterActions, but they're mostly password-protected intranet projects. It's recently been redesigned by an in-house team. |

(now called SharperMedia.com) |

BroadbandUpdate.com And this is BroadbandUpdate.com. As you can see, it's quite similar to SharperMedia above, though the design does allow quite a lot of flexibility for adding and modifying elements. Note: navigation for both these sites is by drop-down menu list via javascript. |

VIG
Network Inc. The successor to RealNewz (see below). This was a very simple, quick site to do. Note -- this site has been updated a little since I designed it, but all the basic design elements were put in place by myself. |

RealNewz This site no longer exists, as such. The name of the company changed to Vig Network Inc. (see above), and the content of the site transfered and updated there. However, this site was always a favorite of mine and got good responses from many people. I'm listing it here for sentimental reasons. |

Plesser
Associates This was a very simple, graphically light site done for a Madison Avenue PR firm. The site has recently been redesigned by someone else, so I've taken off the link. |
