This page
contains images from the Shoah Triptych series,
created in 2005. The images presented are studies and not
necessarily completed works -- the ultimate aim is for Ayton
to create large-scale versions of these for exhibition. In addition,
there is a planned musical component, in collaboration with a composer working
on
musical works to complement the images, as a 2-way process,
with
the musical
pieces helping to inspire the final images.
The purpose of this body of work is to expose the horror of genocide and fascism, move the viewer towards the hope of liberation, and ensure that we never forget nor repeat history.
